Cricklade's motto is "In loco delicioso" ("In a delightful place") and its wide High Street is a pleasant centrepiece.
No two buildings are the same, yet still The Old Bear manages to stand out, looking for all the world like an old-fashioned cottage which the owners have suddenly decided to throw open to drinkers and hotel guests.
A warm welcome is always guaranteed at The Old Bear, whether it's a quick stop-off or you're staying longer in their converted barn accommodation.
- accommodation in converted barn
- single, twins and double rooms

A little bit of history
The Old Bear has a longer history than most pubs in the area.
The earliest building on the site was occupied in 1697 and by 1786 it was trading as The Saracen's Head. The name later changed to The Bear and at an unknown date the 'Old' was added, just in case the place's pedigree was in doubt.
