Pigs, pies, pints and pillows. We are a dining pub with rooms in the middle of our own organic farm in the village of Bishopstone. Great service, informally, and a welcome as if it’s your own front room. Our 12 luxurious rooms provide the perfect place to unwind in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
You’ll eat (and sleep) well here. Generous organic food from our farm or our neighbours. A menu that changes most days and always with the seasons. All accompanied by excellent local Arkell’s ales, wines, gins and juices. Our family, friends, and farm workers have shared meals and beers here for nearly 20 years and we only serve the food and drink that we enjoy ourselves.
Stay with us. From super-luxury rooms where you could almost spend the rest of your life, to cosy smaller spaces for shorter stops. Each of our boutique rooms is fashioned around one of our fields, with textures, colours and our own range of small indulgences. A hearty breakfast to set you up for your day, whatever it holds, and high speed wifi to keep you connected.

Food from the farm. Depending on the time of year we serve our own beef and veal, occasionally our own lamb, and always our own pork, and bacon, sausages and eggs. Our milk comes via Berkeley Farm five miles away – they process our milk, and we buy it back as pasteurised milk and cream, plus staggeringly yellow butter! Veg is direct from our friends at Westmill Organics a few miles down the road.
Explore. Circular walks to The Ridgeway National Trail that runs across our (tenanted) 1,400 acre organic farm start from our front door. Our farm boundaries to the south give access to thousands more acres of open land, criss-crossed with paths and bridleways, and the glories of pre-historic Wiltshire and Oxfordshire lie all around us. At the right time of year there’s a proper fire to come back to and always newspapers, magazines, books to borrow. Dogs and muddy boots welcome.
This is your place to enjoy. Just a medium stone’s throw from Swindon station, with easy access to London and The Cotswolds. We’ll collect you from the station in our old red Land Rover, where possible; just call and ask.
Nice words.

Parties and celebrations. Generous, gregarious, noisy, chatty, semi private or public, bespoke. Just ask. From two of you to 45 of you. And garden barbecues if you like. Our default answer is usually 'yes'.
